We have a new way for cancer patients to get the healing food they need, when they need it - the 180 "Food Fight Program"! The 180 "Food Fight Program" enables cancer fighters to purchase anything they need from the 180 Farmacy (aka the 180 Degree Farm market). They have $20 to use each week for up to 5 weeks. Once we have a card available, the next cancer fighter on our list will receive a $100 180 Degree Farm "Food Fight Program" punch card.
If you are battling cancer and are unable to afford the lifestyle change it takes to heal from the disease and/or the chemo, please contact Nicole (email@example.com) for more information and to get on the 180 "Food Fight Program" list.
In February, we will start our annual juicer donation program. We make them available to cancer fighters currently fighting cancer at our market and at CTCA as they come available.
Our family farm has dedicated the last 10 years to providing clean, nutrient dense food to cancer fighters in our community, and at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan. In our constant pursuit to serve cancer fighters, we realize there are other ways we can help in the healing process… and that’s through nature. We are developing dedicated gardens on our farm, to specifically serve as natural therapeutic environments for cancer fighters - The 180 Farm Therapeutic Gardens!
“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow”
We know exactly how confusing and hopeless a cancer diagnosis can feel. Exposure to nature and plants that are growing and thriving has a positive and restorative mental effect.
Benefits of the 180 Therapeutic Gardens to cancer fighters:
• Nature helps you feel healthier and happier
• Sense of peace, calm and tranquility
• Relief from depression, pain and anxiety
• Transcend your illness
• An escape from the hospital environment
• Socialize and connect with other cancer fighters
• Do things you thought you couldn’t do
• Encourages physical, mental and social wellbeing
To clarify, we are not providing clinical therapy treatments. We are providing a beautiful, natural environment where cancer fighters and survivors can feel the healing effects of gardening and nature.
PHASE ONE of the 180 Therapeutic Garden Plan (Spring 2020):
The Perennial Garden
Cancer fighters will enjoy harvesting seasonal berries, planting wildflowers, tending to herbs and propagating plants in our potting shed. This area features our citrus house, a flower garden, seating areas under natural arbors and a water feature to provide soothing sounds.
The Annual Garden
These gardens will constantly supply cancer fighters with beautiful cutting flowers and plenty of projects to get their hands dirty.
